Plainlog compared with other GLP-1 trackers
Other apps’ details read from their US App Store listings on 9 October 2026. Prices and features change; check each listing before you decide.
If you’re looking for a plainer dose and weight log, these are facts you can check: price, the App Store privacy label, accounts, export, and what each app covers. Every app here does things Plainlog doesn’t.
Price
US App Store, as listed. All of these apps are free to download. Apple lists every subscription price an app has set up without saying which one is offered now, so this shows the lowest and highest yearly price listed. Prices vary by country.
| App | Yearly subscription, as listed |
|---|---|
| Plainlog | $14.99 (or $1.99 a month). 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for new subscribers. |
| Medisafe | $27.99 to $39.99 |
| GlucoPal | $29.99 (other GlucoPal Pro prices are listed without a period) |
| Glapp | $39.99 |
| Shotsy | $39.99 to $59.99 |
| MeAgain | Not compared: prices from $14.99 to $119.99 are listed without a period |
What is free differs between apps; each listing describes its own. In Plainlog, logging, history, reminders and CSV export are free and stay free: nothing that is free moves to Plainlog+.
App Store privacy label
The label is what each developer reports to Apple; Apple does not verify it. The highest category on each listing is shown.
| App | Label |
|---|---|
| Plainlog | Data Not Collected |
| GlucoPal | Data Not Linked to You |
| Shotsy | Data Not Linked to You |
| Medisafe | Data Not Linked to You, including use for third-party advertising |
| Glapp | Data Linked to You |
| MeAgain | Data Used to Track You, and Data Linked to You |
Accounts, sync and export
| App | What the listing says |
|---|---|
| Plainlog | No account. Your record stays in a file on your phone, with no server copy and no sync or backup of its own. CSV export is free; a PDF summary is part of Plainlog+. |
| GlucoPal | No account required. iCloud backup and sync. CSV export; PDF reports in GlucoPal Pro. |
| Shotsy | CSV and PDF export, named in its release notes; the listing does not say which plan includes them. |
| Medisafe | One account for a family’s medications. PDF report for a doctor or nurse. |
| Glapp, MeAgain | The listings do not describe accounts or export. |
A sample Plainlog+ PDF
The PDF summary lists the doses and weights you logged, with dates, for you to keep or hand to someone. It reports your entries and says nothing about them.
Sample PDF summary, made up for this page (PDF, 1 page). The person and every entry in it are fictional. Your own summary is made on your phone, from your entries, when you choose to share it.
What Plainlog won’t do
- Track food, water or macros, or read food photos.
- Give insights, predictions, coaching or reports that explain your data.
- Suggest a dose, a dose change or a conversion between doses.
- Estimate levels for doses you haven’t taken.
- Show a percentage change from a starting weight, or compare your weight with a goal.
- Suggest where to inject next.
- Keep photos, streaks or achievements.
- Track several medications at once.
- Move a free feature to Plainlog+.
When another app may suit you better
- You want food, water or photo tracking beside your doses. Plainlog records doses and weight only.
- You manage several medications, or a family’s, in one place. Medisafe is a general medication manager.
- You want your log to sync between devices or back up to a cloud service. GlucoPal’s listing names iCloud backup and sync; Plainlog has no sync or backup of its own.
- You use Android. Plainlog is not yet available on Android.
