support@plainlog.app — we read every message. Response times may vary; this is a small, independent app.
Getting your data out
From the home screen, tap Export to save your log as a CSV file or a PDF. Tap Backup to save an encrypted or plaintext copy of everything — useful before switching phones, or just to have a copy somewhere safe. Both use your device’s normal share sheet, so you choose exactly where the file goes.
Restoring on a new device
Install Plainlog, open Backup, and choose “Choose a backup file” under “Restore from a backup.” If the backup was encrypted, you’ll need the passphrase you set when you made it — there is no way for us to recover a lost passphrase, because we never have it.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Plainlog has no accounts
and no sign-in.
Where is my data?
On your device, in a single local
file. See the Privacy Policy for the full
explanation, including what your device’s own backup does with it.
I lost my phone / deleted the app without exporting.
If you didn’t make a backup or export, and your device didn’t
have iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup turned on, the data can’t
be recovered — we never had a copy to restore from. This is a direct
consequence of Plainlog never holding your data, which is also why nobody
else can reach it either.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Through your Apple
ID or Google Play account settings, the same as any other subscription
— Plainlog doesn’t process payments directly and can’t
cancel it for you from our side.
